A Doctor Who Is Also A Lawyer In Jurong West Ext

West Point Clinic
Jurong West St 81 Blk 853, #01-333
(just near to Nanyang Flyover NTU Pioneer exit)

Dr Chuang is also a lawyer and he is very good at treating patients with stomach problems.

Opens till 12 midnite daily and no rest days.

My friend calls him weird because he doesn't talk a lot
and he has many books in his clinic.
Looks more like a library to me!

He also has an attachment to telephone booths,
and keeps an adorable cat as his pet.

  2. Don't bother seeing this doctor and clinic. I went to the clinic for my flu and they prescribe me a bunch of medicine, about 5 medicine. And the bill came up to be $60. I didn't want all of the medicine so I told the receptionist lady who is a China lady to take out some of the medicine so that I don't have to pay so much. She reused and told me even if I take out all the medicine it will still be the same fee of $60 because that is the consultation fee. So I was shocked. I asked her where in her clinic did it say about this fee cos of it did I woild not come in. She refused to let me go and proceed to show the recipt of the previous patient that says $60. But it was hand written of course. Then I saw something else on the receipt which was printed for consultation fee is $20. Then I told her no I do not want to take any of this anymore. She went on to ask the doc. Shouted across in Chinese that 'this lady here does not want to pay $60' then the doc told her to let me go. What a joke. I just wish nobody get scammed into this clinic. Cos when I left I saw a few foreign workers coning in. The doc is a lawyer and advocate of the law as well? Wow I can't believe this is how it is. Please avoid going to this clinic at all cost.

  4. First time came across a clinic with many antique and full of stuff. Feeling uneasy when visiting especially during Covid periods.

You can only listen and cannot ask further questions otherwise he will not want to see you.
    Just my experience

  5. V expensive and untidy clinic with so many books arnd. it feels like a storeroom rather than a clinic. The charges were crazy high too. Went in for fever, back ache and headache, prescribed panadol and charged me 98 dollars. Best is ask for 3 days mc, he only gave 2 days when my fever was v high at that time with a throbbing headache. I will nvr come here again.

  6. I won't know what he was like decades ago, but as of now Dr Chuang Wei Ping is the worst doctor that I have consulted. The only thing nice about this clinic was the friendly receptionist lady. It was a Sunday so I didn't have the option to go to my usual doctor so had to see him, which I immediately regret. He was plain rude, stubborn and judgemental. His consultation room was just as messy as the reception area (plenty of carton boxes), obviously dirty with plenty of junk like antiques and old spectacles. He dresses very sloppily and doesn't even bother to wear his mask on properly. And because he has hearing problems, I had to shout to explain my problem and he doesn't bother to ask me any probing questions. Instead, he assumes I don't drink enough water and reprimand me for not consuming enough. He didn't ask me anything about water intake so I replied that I am drinking lots of water, at least 1.5 ltr daily. Then he told me that's not enough, asked me to drink 8 litres instead. 8 litres? You can consult any decent doctor and will know that's too much, in fact it can result in water poisoning! He also told me I should see my usual doctor instead, hello, I'm not paying a hefty $120 to be pushed back to see other more reliable doctors who know how to examine patients? I know he's an elderly man with bouts of problems himself (seen from his hearing problem and poor skin condition) but seriously as a paid professional he should do his due diligence and examine patients instead of pushing his archaic beliefs to us!
